Hi, I'm Mama in Suburbia...a typical city girl, born and bred in New York City, turned suburban mama.  I traded in my artsy, glitzy, glamorous single life in the big city to pursue one of the most sought-after jobs in the world...to become a suburbia mom. 

Okay, so my single life was never as artsy or glitzy or glamorous as I wanted it to be.  But it was definitely a different world from where I am now.  I now live in a quiet suburb in Connecticut with my geeky husband, Papa in Suburbia, and my ever so active 2 year old son, Lil T.  They both keep my life very interesting.  Being a stay-at-home mom (it's more like nonstop-working-at-home mom) has it's good days and bad days. 

So how has my life been different since moving to Suburbia?  Let's see...I've given up weekend brunches with friends for screaming kidfests at Friendly's.  My quiet strolls in Central Park are now replaced with running after a 2 year old who's about to jump into the pond to swim with the ducks.  My days of shopping in Soho are replaced with trips to Walmart to stock up on diapers and detergent.

Yes, living in a quiet suburb in Connecticut sure has it's moments.  Most people enjoy the peace and quiet.  But for this city girl, all I can say is....."GET ME OUT OF SUBURBIA!!!!!"
